Through this year-long scheme we are concentrating on delivering

A tailored farm safety training programme to 45 farmers.

Completing Risk Assessments and creating Farm Safety Action Plans on 120 farms

Distributing 120 Safety Packs

Highlighting resources that can help with mental health & wellbeing

Increasing socialization among rurally isolated farmers

Increasing quad bike safety through PPE and training
What have we achieved?
To date we have delivered:

A talk on Financial planning and succession planning for farmers

Abrasive Wheels Training

Safe Pass Training
-
First Aid Course with Forestry & Hillside elective

We have completed 40 Farm Risk assessments

We have also provided 30 Quad bike helmets
-
We are currently trialing 3 different Quad bike roll bars
-
We are currently working with other groups such as GRD and HSE on mental health initiatives for the farming community
